For Our Children

Don’t be afraid to show up.

Embrace yourself, be seen.

Don’t give in or give up.

Find joy for the in between.

Don’t fear speaking your truth.

Appreciate what you’ve been given.

Don’t grow up too fast, enjoy your youth.

Don’t get lazy, stay driven.

Don’t accept cruel behaviour.

Or confuse busy with success.

Don’t treat kindness as labour.

Don’t get caught out by stress.

Don’t lose faith, have courage.

There is more good than there is bad.

Don’t take for granted your privilege.

It’s ok to feel sad.

Don’t fall victim to prejudice.

Some people don’t understand.

Don’t put up with injustice.

Always take a stand.

Don’t answer hate with hate –

An eye for an eye makes the world go blind.

Don’t leave life to fate.

Remember to always be kind.

Try not to fight,

Instead reach out your hands.

Help ease the world’s plight,

Don’t forget how love expands.

Life is a gift – cherish it.

We are one – never forget it.

Love is kind – always show it.

Be who you are – you’ll never regret it.
