DAY 14 – Receiving Without Guilt
AWARENESS PRACTICE: “Releasing Guilt Around Receiving (EFT)”
Today’s practice is a little different. We’ll be using EFT – a gentle tapping technique – to help release any lingering guilt or discomfort around receiving. This works directly with the body’s stress response and helps charge move through rather than stay stuck.
Purpose:
To gently release emotional charge and learned guilt around receiving support, care, and abundance.
Duration:
13 minutes
Why it works:
EFT helps regulate emotional responses by combining gentle stimulation of acupressure points with conscious awareness. This allows the body to release outdated patterns without overwhelm, creating more ease around receiving.
Receiving Without Guilt
Journaling + Integration Exercise
Reflection Prompts
1. When someone offers me support, I tend to…
□ accept easily
□ hesitate
□ deflect
□ feel uncomfortable
□ overcompensate
□ minimise
2. What beliefs do I hold about receiving?
(“I shouldn’t need help,” “Others have it worse,” “I must give back immediately,” etc.)
Origin Inquiry
Choose one belief and ask:
- Where did I learn this?
- Who modelled this for me?
- How did this belief protect me?
Acknowledging its purpose helps it soften.
Reframing Receiving
Complete the sentences:
- “Receiving does not mean ___.”
- “Receiving allows ___.”
- “I can receive without owing anyone anything.”
Let your answers be grounded and honest.
Integration Practice
Today, notice one moment where you receive something – a compliment, a pause, support, rest.
Instead of deflecting, try saying simply: “Thank you.”
Pause.
Let it land.
Closing Statement
Read gently:
“I am allowed to receive without guilt.”
“Receiving does not diminish anyone else.”
