DAY 16 – Inhabiting Your Life From the Inside Out

EMBODIED PRACTICE : “Inhabiting the Moment”

Duration:

7:29 minutes

Purpose:
To experience presence as participation, letting your body become the place you meet life from, rather than something you manage or observe.

Journalling Prompts

1. Locating Yourself

After today’s practice, ask yourself:

  • Where did I feel myself most inside my body?
  • Where did I notice myself drifting outward — into planning, managing, or thinking ahead?

Describe these experiences in physical terms, not stories.

2. Inside vs Outside Orientation

Complete the sentences intuitively:

  • When I’m living from the outside in, my body feels…
  • When I inhabit my life from the inside out, my body feels…

Notice the contrast without judging either.

3. Participation Check-In

Reflect gently:

  • What felt different about participating in the moment rather than monitoring it?
  • Did anything feel more available, grounded, or clear when I stayed inside my experience?

4. Everyday Application

Consider one ordinary moment today (a conversation, a task, a pause).

  • What might shift if I stayed more inside my body during moments like this?
  • What would that change in how I move, speak, or respond?

No need to commit, just imagine.

Integration Practice

Once today, pause briefly and ask:

“Am I inhabiting this moment — or observing it from a distance?”

If you notice you’re outside yourself, gently step back in by feeling your feet, your breath, or your posture.

That’s enough.

Closing Statement

Write or read slowly:

“I am allowed to live my life from the inside.”
“Presence is participation.”
