SOMATIC PRACTICE: “The Inner Space Reset”

Purpose:
To help your body release accumulated tension and emotional weight, so you can create internal capacity for receiving.

Duration:
6:37 minutes

Why it works:
Your nervous system needs spaciousness to take in new experiences (including abundance). This practice signals safety through breath, presence, and slow movement – all of which soften protective patterns.

Energetic Declutter List:

1. Physical Space 

☐ Clear one small area (desk, bedside table, handbag)

☐ Lightly tidy or wipe a surface

☐ Remove one object that feels stale or unnecessary

2. Mental Space 

☐ Write down 3 things that feel mentally heavy

☐ Circle the one you can release or postpone

☐ Say out loud: “I don’t have to carry everything today.”

3. Emotional Space 

☐ Notice where emotion sits in your body

☐ Give it a name: tension, heaviness, buzzing, pressure

☐ Place a hand there and breathe slowly into it

4. Energetic Space 

☐ Ask: “What am I ready to put down?”

☐ Let your exhale be the release

☐ Repeat: “I choose spaciousness.”

Journalling Prompts

After completing the somatic practice, take a few minutes to write slowly. Let your answers come from felt experience rather than analysis.

  1. Where in my body do I notice the most space or ease right now?
  2. Where do I still feel holding, pressure, or fullness?
  3. What does “space” mean to me in this moment – physically, emotionally, or mentally?
  4. What might become possible if I allowed myself a little more space?

There’s no need to solve or change anything. Awareness is enough.
